Fees

Clear fees, agreed before we start

No hourly surprises and no retainer to find up front. You pay for the time you use, at the rate we agree in advance, whether that is an hour of preparation or a day beside you at court.

Hourly support

£80

per hour

Preparation, paperwork checks, advice on what to expect, and help planning your next steps. Billed for the time you use.

Half day in court

£300

per hearing

Attendance with you at a half day hearing, from arriving at court through to the end of the session.

Full day in court

£500

per hearing

Attendance with you for a full day hearing, including the waiting time before and after you are called in.

Monthly support

£250

per month

Ongoing general support while you do your own paperwork: making sense of forms and court letters, and preparing for what comes next.

What the fees cover

  • Time agreed with you before any work starts
  • Court attendance at the half day or full day rate
  • Practical help with forms, bundles and court letters
  • A free initial conversation to work out what you need

What they do not cover

  • Court issue and hearing fees, which you pay to the court
  • Legal advice, which only a solicitor or barrister can give
  • Work by a solicitor or barrister you instruct separately
  • Anything outside the arrangement we agree in writing

Questions about fees

Not sure how much time you need?

The first conversation is free. Tell me where you are in the process and I will tell you honestly what it is likely to take, so you can decide before spending anything.

Please note: My role is to provide practical, process-focused support. I do not give legal advice. Legal advice is often needed at key points, and where it is, I will say so and point you to a family solicitor. Most solicitors now offer unbundled services: fixed-fee advice on a single step or question, rather than the whole case. That means you can pay for advice where it matters and keep the practical work with me. Many clients work this way, using legal advice for legal decisions and practical support to manage the process around it.
