How Divorce Navigator and Bridge The Gap Are Connected

I run both Divorce Navigator and Bridge The Gap, and I want that to be completely clear rather than something you have to piece together yourself.

Same person, two different jobs

Divorce Navigator is my direct, paid support service. If you want hands-on, practical help with your own divorce or family court case, this is that service, and I'm the person you'd be working with.

Bridge The Gap is a separate, free site: an independent information hub and a directory of McKenzie Friends across the UK, not just me. It exists to help anyone, whoever they end up working with, understand the family court process and compare their options.

They're not two versions of the same thing. One is me offering direct support. The other is an independent resource I built because it was needed, regardless of who someone chooses to work with afterwards.

No fee changes hands

No referral fee, commission, or payment of any kind passes between Divorce Navigator and Bridge The Gap. If you find your way to me through Bridge The Gap, or to Bridge The Gap through here, nothing about that transaction is being monetised between the two sites.

Bridge The Gap linking here isn't an endorsement

Where you see links between the two sites, it's because the link is actually useful at that point, not because the sites exist to promote each other. If I'm ever listed as a McKenzie Friend in Bridge The Gap's own directory, I'm held to exactly the same listing and evidence rules as anyone else on there. No special placement.

If anything about this isn't clear, or you want to ask me directly about the relationship between the two, get in touch.

Looking for a McKenzie Friend?

If you are preparing for your next hearing and want someone experienced in your corner — someone who has sat in those courtrooms, knows how FDA hearings run, and understands what the other side's solicitor is doing — a McKenzie Friend can attend with you, help you prepare, and make sure the court hears what it needs to hear.

What can a McKenzie Friend actually do — and what can't they?

There is a lot of confusion about the McKenzie Friend role, and some of it is spread by people who don't understand it themselves. Before you decide, read what the role genuinely covers: what they can do, what they can't, and where the line is.

Please note: My role is to provide practical, process‑focused support. I do not give legal advice. Legal advice is often needed at key points, and I regularly encourage people to seek advice from a family solicitor. Many clients work with me alongside their solicitor, using legal advice for legal decisions and practical support to manage the process around it.
